How was man created?
After creating the universe, God formed a man’s body out of the dust of the earth. He then breathed life into the body, creating a soul that would never die. Together, that soul and body formed the first human being, which God called “Adam.”
The story of the Creation of the world and man is told in the Book of Genesis. Scripture says that on the sixth day God made all the animals. “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth’” (Genesis 1:26).
God gave man a body and a soul. Like the animals, man has a body. And like the spiritual angels, man has a spiritual mind to know his Creator, and a spiritual will to love Him.
