Jesus revealed God the Holy Spirit as the Third Divine Person of the Holy Trinity Whom He and the Father would send to His Church to teach, guide and strengthen it.

Jesus taught that God the Holy Spirit was the equal of Himself and the Father. At the Last Supper Jesus told the Apostles: “But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me” (John 15:26).
